Three Research Scholars of ECE Research Centre in GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, have been awarded Ph.D degree during the 20th Annual Convocation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, recently.

G. Manjula, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, has been awarded Ph.D for her thesis titled “Identification of the Features of Stuttering through Automatic Speech Recognition and Validation,” submitted under the guidance of Dr. M. Shivakumar and Dr. Y. V. Geetha.

Vinita Balbhim Patil has been awarded Ph.D for her thesis titled “Handwriting recognition using hybrid technique,” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Rajendra R. Patil.

H.K. Ravikiran has been awarded Ph.D for his thesis titled “Development of compression and reconstruction algorithm for progressive transmission of medical images,” submitted under the guidance of Dr. J. Jayanth.
