Mysore/Mysuru: Lakshmidevi (87), mother of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vidyashankar, passed away at her son’s residence in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage here yesterday. The body was kept at the residence of Dr. Vidyashankar till 7.30 am and was later taken to Bengaluru where the last rites were performed at Chamarajpet Crematorium this afternoon, according to family sources.
