Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, will host a 24-hour National-level Hackathon titled ‘FUSION X 1.0’ on May 29 and 30.
The inaugural ceremony will be held on May 29 at 10 am at the college sports ground. Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the event.
President of Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) Gundappa Gowda will preside. VVCE Principal Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Vice-Principal Dr. Shobha Shankar and other members of the management will be present.
A total of 111 teams have registered for the event, with participants from across India. The hackathon aims to encourage students to develop innovative solutions to real-world technical challenges while showcasing their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills through a continuous 24-hour competition.
Speaking about the initiative, Principal Dr. Sadashive Gowda said, the hackathon aims to promote creativity, technical excellence and innovation amongst the students. K. Gopala Reddy, Professor and HoD of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, will be coordinating the event.
