As part of the World Immunisation Day celebrations, JSS Hospital in Mysuru organised a ‘Walkathon’ to underscore the importance of adult vaccination and promote preventive healthcare.
The event, recently inaugurated by Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and J.P. Urs, President of the Mysuru Travels Association, witnessed the participation of nearly 250 students from JSS Medical College, JSS Nursing College and JSS Pharmacy College.
The walkathon traversed through prominent locations like Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Circle and Agrahara Circle before concluding at JSS Hospital. Students actively engaged in raising awareness by displaying various placards and banners.
The programme was attended by Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Principal of JSS Medical College, Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), R. Mahesh, Director of Medical Education at JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Dr. Y. S. Ravikumar, Head, Department of Medicine, Dr. Thippeswamy, N. Lokesh, Administrative Officer at JSS Hospital, along with entrepreneurs B.S. Prashanth from Safewheels, Vishwanath from Travel Netcare and Mysuru Travels Association Vice-President David Raj.
The occasion was attended by the Clinicians, Post-Graduate students, administrative staff and Nursing staff of JSS Hospital.
