Mysuru: A few days after former BJP MLC G. Madhusudhan accused N.R. Congress MLA Tanveer Sait of grabbing Waqf Board land in Mysuru, City Congress spokesperson S. Rajesh has strongly refuted the allegations, stating that Madhusudhan himself has encroached upon land coming under the Bandipur Forest.
Speaking at a press meet recently, Rajesh alleged that Madhusudhan, who is facing charges of land encroachment, had overlooked his own misdeeds. “It seems Madhusudhan has suddenly woken up from a long slumber to level allegations against Sait,” Rajesh remarked.
Clarifying the ownership of several properties, including Ghousia Manzil, a boys’ shelter home on Sayyaji Rao Road; Rifa Commercial Complex, which houses Muslim boys’ hostel; a girls’ residential hostel on Akbar Road and Apna Ghar Orphan Boys’ Hostel, Rajesh said that all these are managed and owned by the District Waqf Board, chaired by Sait.
He dismissed claims of land grabbing and urged Madhusudhan to desist from making false accusations. Rajesh further warned that the Congress would pursue legal action if Madhusudhan continued to target its leaders with baseless allegations.
Several city Congress leaders, including S.A. Rahim, Kamran Pasha, Syed Farukh, Mohankumar, Salman, Srinivas, and Mohammad Rafi, were present at the press conference.
