Water flows into Virija Canal

The State Government has released Cauvery water from KRS into the dried canals for drinking purpose and livestock. This picture captured by SOM photographer yesterday shows a herd of sheep and goat near the Virija Canal on Mysuru-Bengaluru National Highway, grazing and drinking water from the canal. Virija canal irrigates about 5,360 hectares of wet crop in Mysuru and Mandya districts.
