Water tax dues reach a whopping Rs. 120 crore!

Mysuru: The water tax dues payable to Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has accumulated to a whopping Rs.120 crore forcing the MCC authorities to take stern measures against defaulters.

Accordingly, MCC officials, led by Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, have disconnected water supply to three domestic connections in Giridarshini Layout, one such connection in Ward 43 near Highway Circle and one commercial connection on Wednesday for defaulting payment of water tax dues.

The MCC Commissioner has, in a press release, appealed the people to pay water tax regularly on time without any accumulation of dues to help the MCC serve the people better.
