Water: YES for drinking, NO for other purposes

March 13, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Owing to summer season there has been a depletion in water level at the sources, but a rise in demand for water.

To cope with the situation, no permission is given for temporary water connection for construction purposes, multi-storeyed buildings, commercial and industrial purposes.

Accordingly, the residents of Mysuru should use water in a judicious manner by compulsorily fixing meter to water connection.

Action will be taken against those wasting water under Karnataka Municipal Corporation (KMC) Act 1976 by disconnecting water connection.

If public taps are misused and any disruption in water supply, contact Ph: 0821-2418800/ 816, according to Executive Engineer (West), Water Supply and UGD, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).
