Webinar on ‘Impact of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals’

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Natural Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, in association with National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has organised a webinar on the theme ‘Impact of Climate Change & Sustainable Development Goals’ on July 22.

The webinar comprises two technical sessions addressed by eminent scientists from NIDM. The participants will be UG/PG students, research scholars, faculties from various institutes, Life Sciences and interested public.

The webinar will be educating the young mind on the root causes and impact of climate change and the prospects for achieving agenda 2030 and the sustainable development goals.

The inaugural session of the webinar will be held on July 22 at 3.30 pm. Dr. Surinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, JSS AHER, will deliver the inaugural address. Maj. Gen. M.K. Bindal, Executive Director, NIDM, will deliver the presidential address.

The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Anil K. Gupta, Head, ECDRM Division, NIDM.  The details of resource persons are as follows: Dr. Sushma Guleria, Assistant Professor, NIDM and Dr. Pranab J. Patar, Chief Executive, Global Foundation for Advancement of Environment. Aradhana Moktan, Young Professional, NIDM, will be the moderator.
