Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Generating Awareness about ‘Amazing Ability’ of specially abled and about creating a ‘welcoming’ environment for all in the community, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) is organising a monthly webinar series from Dec. 3.

Of the several issues that People With Disability (PWD) face, a few that are prominent include: Accessibility, the choice of leading a barrier-free life and inclusion. This webinar is an attempt to bring some of these ‘celebrities’ onto a platform where they can share their journey, their grit, determination and the fire that burns within them that has made them into role models for all of us. 

The first of this unique webinar series is on Dec. 3, scheduled between 6 pm and 7.30 pm, featuring achiever Dr. Malathi Krishnamurthy Holla, who is an International para athlete from India.

Having won over 428 medals representing India in the Paralympics, Asian Games, World Masters and Commonwealth Games, Malathi Holla has been conferred the prestigious Arjuna and Padma Shri awards. She has also launched her first authorised biography, A Different Spirit on July 8, 2009.

The chief guest for the inaugural webinar is Dr. S.B. Muniraju, Deputy Adviser (SJE-VAC), NITI Aayog, New Delhi and the inaugural will be presided by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder & President, SVYM.
