Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Vidyavardhaka College of  Engineering (VVCE) has organised a Webinar on ‘Importance of an Engineer for a Nation’ on Sept. 15 at 3 pm through an online platform. 

The resource person is D. Sudhanva, Managing Director, Excelsoft Technologies Private Limited, Mysuru.

Profile

D. Sudhanva established Excelsoft as a technology company focusing on innovative technology-enabled solutions in the education space. 

Sudhanva, born and brought up in Mysuru, is an Engineering graduate and MEM from Mysore University, MS from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. An Instrumentation Engineer, taught for a short period in a US University and returned to work for companies such as Kirloskar and Wipro. He was a Senior Consultant to the World Bank and has been a member of several Advisory Committees, Boards of Studies and Academic Councils of several Universities  and institutions.

The Webinar shall be conducted through Google Meet. It is open for all. There is no registration fee. However, the participants should register initially and all registered attendees will get an e-certificate.

Another Webinar has been  organised on Sept. 16 at 6.30 pm as part of Engineers’ Day celebrations through an online platform, under the aegis of Inner Wheel Club of Mysore West, in association with Rotaract Club, Department of Mechanical Engineering, VVCE.

The resource person for the Webinar on ‘The Role of an Engineer in Nation Building’ is Anil Kumar Nadiger, Managing Director, Rachana EnerCare and former Secretary of ISHRAE Mysore Chapter. 

The Co-ordinators are Dr. S. A. Mohan Krishna, Prof. Arun C. Dixit and Prof. R. Shivashankar. 

Dr. G.V. Naveen Prakash, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, President of Inner Wheel Club of Mysore West Chaya Venkatesh, Secretary Shwetha Krishna, HOPE Coordinator Dr. Bharathi Urs, will attend.
