Wedding gifts stolen from Kalyana Mantap

Mysore/Mysuru: A bag containing gold ornaments and cash, which were given as gifts to the groom, has been lifted from the wedding reception stage at a Kalyana Mantap in city.

According to the complaint lodged by H. Pradeep, the wedding of his brother H.C. Pramod of Kirijaji village in Hunsur taluk was held at Sa.Ra. Kalyana Mantap in city on Feb. 11 and 12. On Feb. 11 night, during the reception, miscreants lifted a bag containing gold ornaments and cash, which were given as gifts to the groom, from the reception stage.

He has further stated in the complaint that when the manager of the Kalyana Mantap was urged to check the CCTV footages to identify the miscreants, the Manager is said to told that the CCTV cameras were not functioning and replied in a negligent manner. Based on the complaint, Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
