Weekend curfew: Library open days

With the Government extending the weekend curfew in the city and district till the end of this month, the City Central Library, all Branch libraries, Kuvempu Mobile Library and all other reading rooms across the district, will be open on Mondays (Aug. 23 and Aug. 30), instead of Sundays. In a press release, Deputy Director of Libraries B. Manjunath said that all Libraries run by the Department will be open on Aug. 23 and 30 and this change will be in force till Aug. 30. Deadline extended till Aug. 25

The Department of Technical Education has extended the deadline for admission to three-year Diploma in Engineering courses at Polytechnics across the State, till Aug. 25. Interested SSLC-passed students can obtain the application forms at the city’s CPC Polytechnic and apply with all documents before 5 pm on Aug. 25.
