Smartphones are that invention which have completely changed our lifestyle. We have been offered a whole new mind-set with the smartphone on our hands. And there is no such work which can’t be done through smartphones (apart from brushing, bathing etc.)! Since the competition in the smartphone market is increasing, the manufacturers have tried to include every detail possible in their own released Smartphone. And this is the case which has happened with Redmi’s K20 Pro and OnePlus’s Nord. But it is a notable fact that Redmi K20 Pro came back in May 2019 while OnePlus have its Nord in July this year. But still, there are a certain features both have in difference. Let us compare the mandatory features and decide which is better and why –

BASIC FEATURES

While OnePlus is a prominent smartphone company, Redmi has tried to revamp it’s image in India with the K20 Pro after the failure of Poco F1.

So coming to Redmi’s K20 Pro, it has a strong and sturdy design with a design that is mostly unbeatable. It has a good metal combo built where the front and rear glass panels are held by side metal rails. And the 3D curved design us about sorted by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

But the OnePlus Nord has something to worry about. Though the phone feels sturdy with the front and rear Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the side plastic rails bend easily. So if you apply pressure, you will must likely see your sides and the display under the glass bending!

DISPLAY

The display is something you look out for in every smartphone. And this is the thing you need to notice in both of these as well. The Redmi K20 Pro has a 6.39 inches Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 screen ratio. 

But the OnePlus Nord offers you something better. It has a 6.44 inch screen Fluid AMOLED display with an impressive refresh rate of 90 Hz. It has a full HD resolution and is a HDR10+ compliant.

CAMERA

This may give you bit of difference to notice between these two beasts. Both have their own special camera set up but there are some minor differences.

Coming to the K20 Pro, it has a triple rear camera set up of 48MP f/1.8 aperture with a 13MP f/2.4 and 8MP f/2.4 aperture with an added LED flash. The front camera is pop-up 20MP f/2.0 aperture camera. 

But the OnePlus Nord has a better setup on paper. The rear camera setup is a quad setup with a 48MP f/1.8 wide camera, 8MP f/2.3 Ultra-wide camera, a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 camera with dual LED flash. The front one is a dual camera setup with 32MP f/2.5 wide camera and a 8MP f/2.5 Ultra-wide camera. But frankly the last two cameras on the test setup are of no use!

PROCESSOR

This is perhaps the most important thing that we now look for in a smartphone. Be it gaming or any kind of tough job, the processor does it all. So the smartphones need to have a better processor!

The Redmi K20 Pro has a better processing unit as compared to its counterpart. Being older, it is amazing how K20 offers a Snapdragon 855 7nm processor while the Nord has a lower Snapdragon 765G one. This makes the K20 Pro a better smartphone to play high end games. The CPU of K20 is an Octacore Kyro 485 while Nord has the 475 Silver version.

But the Nord has the OxygenOS which is fast better than K20 Pro’s Kirin processor! And the Android version is version 9.0 Pie in K20 Pro qnd version 10 in Nord.

CHARGING

In this case you can bet that the Nord is better since it is new in the market. The battery and it’s charging is a factor almost everyone looks out for. And there is certainly a difference in both of these.

While the battery capacity is not much of notice with the K20 having a 4000 mAh Li-Po battery and the Nord having a little more 4115 mAh Li-Po one. But the charging is what matters and the Nord beats here with a 30W superfast warp charging with K20 having a QC 4.0+ only!

OTHERS

The price range has a difference too! While the K20 Pro offers its 6GB-128GB variant at ₹22,999, the OnePlus Nord has its base 6GB-64GB variant at ₹24,999. And the Nord supports 5G as well! The One[plus nord comes with plastic polymer back, so it can get scratches in the back easily. The best you can is buy back covers or cases for Oneplus Nord, to get a premium and classy look. 

So you decide which is better! For me, I like the Redmi K20 Pro more because of its processor. Adios!
