Apropos my letter “Install traffic signal at this junction immediately” (SOM dated 25th May 2022 ), no action has been taken on the same till date.

I had repeatedly been writing under this column since more than two years now, for the need to install a traffic signal at the junction of Hotel Red Lotus Grand situated on Akkamahadevi Road, in view of the very heavy traffic at this junction posing a threat to the lives and limbs of pedestrians using the road.

But my appeals to the authorities seem to have fallen on deaf ears and blind eyes.

Also, the authorities concerned seem to be least bothered about the problems faced by the citizens.

Are they waiting for some serious accident to take place before they wake up from their deep slumber ?
