Wildlife Week Photography Contest and Expo at Zoo

Mysuru: Mysuru Zoo is organising Wildlife Photography Competition and Exhibition as part of Wildlife Week celebrations from Oct. 2 to 8.

The competition will be held for two categories —  ex-situ conservation (zoo category) and in-situ conservation (wildlife category). Each category consists of 2 cash awards and 3 Certificates of Merit.

Only 2 un-mounted photographs measuring size of 12″x18″ will be accepted in each category.

Entry fee for each section will be Rs.100 and only 2 photographs can be submitted for each section.

For ex-situ conservation category, only pictures taken in Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, within 12 months prior to Sept. 24, 2026 will be accepted.

For in-situ conservation category, location where the picture was clicked should be mentioned.

Basic re-touching (brightness, saturation, sharpening and contrast) of images is acceptable as long as the photograph retains its original form.

The winners will be contacted via the e-mail address provided during the entry. Award winning photographs of the contest will be displayed as per the convenience of Mysuru Zoo. Photography exhibition will be held from Oct. 2 to 8 between 10 am and 5 pm.

Interested candidates can submit their photographs at the Zoo office in Mysuru before Sept. 24, during office hours (10 am to 5 pm).

Photo Submission

Hard copy of the printed photos in 12″x18″ should be submitted to office of the Executive Director, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Zoo Main Road, Indiranagar, Mysuru-570010. Soft copy of the same images to be mailed to [email protected]

Soft copy of each image should not be more than 5-MB with 1920×1080 resolutions.
