Winners of AITA Talent Series Tennis

Dhurva (U-14 Singles), Mustafa Murtaza Raja (U-12 Singles and U-14 Doubles Runner-Up), M. Jasha (U-14 Singles & Doubles) and Thaniya Sarai (U-12 Singles) bagged top honours in their respective section by winning the titles on the concluding day of the MTC AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament for U-12 & U-14 (Boys & Girls) played at the MTC Courts here on Friday.

Jasha of Mysuru bagged a grand double by winning the girls U-14 Singles and Doubles titles. The trophies to the winners were given away by Mysore Tennis Club (MTC) Vice-President Mohiz Wagh, Hon. Secretary Somashaker and Committee Member Ramachandra.


Boys Category

U-14 — Singles Final: S. Dhruva (Kar) bt Attray Saksham (Kar) 7-5, 4-6, 6-1; Semi-finals: S. Dhruva bt Vivan Gupta (Kar) 6-2, 6-3, Atray Saksham (Kar) bt Rahul Illango (TN) 7-6 (2), 6-0; Doubles Final: Arhan Gupta & Vivaan Gupta bt Yashas & Mustafa M Raja 7-5, 6-4.

U-12 — Final: Mustafa Murtuza Raja (Kar) bt Anoop Keshavamurthy (TN) 6-3, 6-3; Semi-final: Mustafa Murtuza Raja bt B. Akshith (TN) 6-1, 6-3, Anoop Keshavmurthy bt Misan Tofeal Ahmed (Hyd) 6-4, 6-0.

Girls Category

U-14 — Singles Final: M. Jasha (Kar) bt Adhya Madhu Bhat (Kar) 6-2, 6-1; Semi-finals: M. Jasha (Kar) bt J. Apoorva (Kar) 6-3, 6-2, Adhya Madhu Bhat (Kar) bt Singini Mithun (Kar) 6-3, 6-1; Doubles Final: M. Jasha & J. Apoorva bt Adhya Madhu Bhat & Vanya Srivatsav 6-7 (9-11), 6-1, 10-5.

U-12 — Singles Final: Thaniya Sarai (Hyd) bt Sri Tanvi (Kar) 6-1, 6-1; Semi-finals: Thaniya Sarai (Hyd) bt T. Sai Janavi (TN) 7-5, 5-7, 6-2, Sri Tanvi (Kar) bt Vanya Srivatsav (Hyd) 6-4, 6-2.
