Mysuru: The students of Acharya Vidya Kula (AVK), Mysuru, won the ‘Best Play of the Year’ award  in Vishwanath Mirle Memorial Children’s English Play Festival organised by Kalasuruchi here recently. 

The students, who staged the award-winning play ‘Ransom of the Red Chief,’ authored by O’Henry, are as follows: M.S. Manyashree, B.S. Namtitha, Havisha V. Sarovar, C. Dhanya, Aashritha Kiran Seshan, P. Lalith Aditya, B. Nikshep, Sankalp Nadiger, M.R. Aditya and Sayam P. Jain. The play was directed by K.S. Chandrashekar and supported by Rathnashree.

Funda Champs: The students of AVK had also participated in Funda Champs, a programme hosted by BASE Mysuru to promote Mathematics and Science, and won the following prizes: V. Sinchana (IX std.) and Chiranthan (X std.) were the winners. K. Punya (X std.) was the 2nd Runner-Up and Aditya Karumbaiah secured six position.
