Mysuru:  The 11-day Dasara Flower Show, organised by Horticulture Department, Zilla Panchayat and District Horticulture Association, concluded last evening at Kuppanna Park here. 

Following are the prizes winners of Flower Show contests held under various categories:

Industries — First: BEML, Belavadi; J.K. Tyres, KRS Road; Infosys, Hebbal; Brakes India, Nanjangud and JSS Hospital, M.G. Road. Best: Jayadeva Hospital, KRS Road.

Offices — First: Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru. Best: Palace Board, Mysuru; Horticulture Wing, University of Mysore; RBI Press, Mysuru.

Educational Institutions —  First: Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Mysuru; SDM-IMD, Mysuru; AIISH, Mysuru. Best: RIE, Manasagangothri.

Public Parks — First: Horticulture Wing, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). Best: GRS Fantasy Park, Metagalli; B.N. Doddamani Farm House, H. Hemanahalli, Yelwal.

Individual Houses — Best: Dr. Hemamalini Lakshman, Siddarthanagar; Lalitha Bai, Yadavagiri; Brigade Symphony, KRS Road; J. Nagaraj, Ashokapuram; Shyamala Prasanna, Lakshmipuram; Brigade Mountain View, Nanjangud Road; A. Pallavi Adarsh, V.V. Mohalla; Dr. Y.S. Ravikumar, Vagdevinagar; H.P. Jayalakshmi, Hinkal.

Prizes were also given away to winners in Rangoli Contest.

Flower Show nets Rs.1.27 crore

The Dasara Flower Show drew five lakh visitors (3.5 lakh adults and 1.5 lakh children with tickets priced Rs.30 and Rs.15 respectively) earning a revenue of Rs.1.27 crore totally which indicates a jump every year with addition of new attractions.
