Winners of Declamation Fest & Creative Science Contest

Mysore/Mysuru: Acharya Vidya Kula, Mysuru, hosted the 5th Sri V. Siddharthacharry Memorial English Declamation Fest and First Inter-School Creative Science Competition recently.

The Declamation event was open to students of Classes VIII, IX and X and Creative Science Competition was conducted for the students of Classes VII to X. Students from 12 Schools participated in the contests.

Dhananjaya, theatre artiste, Sancheyeetha, Lecturer in English, Vinutha Kunderi, Professor in English and Kunthi, an Architect and hobby artiste, were the judges for English Competition. B.U. Manjula, Lecturer in Biology and Anthri Mallikarjuna, Lecturer in Science, were the judges for Creative Science Contest. Prize winners are as follows:

Speech in English: 1st prize – Ilavika Mrnalini of St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, Mysuru; 2nd prize – Sree Nandini Das of Excel Public School, Mysuru; 3rd prize – M. Gayathri of Excel Public School, Mysuru.

Poetry Recitation in English: 1st prize – Shamita Yengalla of Excel Public School, Mysuru; 2nd prize – M. Sharanya of Excel Public School, Mysuru; 3rd prize – M.M. Drushya of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru.

Rolling Shield was bagged by Excel Public School, Mysuru.

Creative Science Contest

Junior Category: 1st prize – S. Chiranth and Siddarth Kumaran of Excel Public School; 2nd prize – Adeep Prasad and Kesar Naveen of BVB, 3rd prize – S. Ranesh and C.V. Achyuth of Acharya Vidya Kula.

Senior Category: 1st prize – Chiranthan and Saanvi P. Jain of NPS International School; 2nd prize – Ullas and C.S. Prathiksha of Jyothi Nivas School, Srirangapatna; 3rd prize – Ashmitha Rao and Gahana H. Prasad of Excel Public School.
