Mysore/Mysuru: Sharadhi Shastry from Pushkarini School, Mysuru, won the title in the 75th Year of Indian Independence – Under-15 Chess Championship-2022 with 6.5 points from seven rounds. The Championship was conducted by Rotary Brindavan School in association with Mysore Chess Centre, at the Rotary Brindavan School in city recently.

The prizes to the winners were given away by Rtn. Krishna Bhat Kadappu, Grand Master (GM) M.S. Thejkumar, Rotary Brindavan School Secretary Rtn. K.V. Manjunath, Vice-President Rtn. Dharmanand and M. Nagendra of Mysore Chess Centre. A total of 138 players took part in the Championship.
