Winners of ‘Mane Mane Gombe’ Contest

Mysuru: Prizes were awarded to the winners of the ‘Mane Mane Gombe’ competition conducted  by Bharat Vikas Parishad – Bharadwaj Mysore Chapter at the Pratima Gallery on Nazarbad Main Road in city  recently. The prizes were sponsored by Ramsons Kala Pratishtana (RKP) of Mysuru.

Chief guest D. Ram Singh, Chairman of the Ramsons Group, gave away the prizes.

RKP has since its inception focused on fostering traditional knowledge systems like clay-craft and adding value-addition to  clay products and traditional board games and create a repository of Mysore Style of Paintings.

The chief guests of the evening  Dr. Jagannath Shenoy, well-known industrialist and Vidu. Latha Shankar, in their brief comments, lauded the efforts of Bharat Vikas Parishad-Bharadwaj in keeping the unique doll tradition of Mysore alive with programmes like this.

The winners of the ‘Mane Mane Gombe’ contest in various categories are as follows:

1st prize: DAV Public School (Secretary Jayashri, CEO); 2nd prize: Happy Kids Play Home (Leelavathi); 3rd prize: Manasarowara Pushkarini Vidyashrama.

Extra-large: 1st: Geetha Srihari, Giridarshini Layout; 2nd: Vijaya Radhakanth of J.P. Nagar; 3rd: Sriram of T.K. Layout.

Large Displays – Category A: 1st: Nagaprasad; 2nd: Ramamani Gurudutt; 3rd: Rajeshwari Ganeshan of  Aravind Nagar; Consolation prize: Padmapriya.

Large Displays – Category B: 1st: Anitha Achyuth of Ittigegud; 2nd: Rajani Krishna; 3rd: V. Priyanka; Consolation prize: Shivaprakash.

Large Displays – Category C:  1st: Swaroopini; 2nd: Swaroop Nandakumar; 3rd: Nishchitha; Consolation: Manjula Swamy.

Special Prize: Renuka Srinivasa.
