The Moon Star Cricket Club, Mysuru, Kollegal Tippu Cricket Club, Faraise Steel, Mysuru, jointly organised Tippu Tiger Cup Season-4 State-level Leather Ball Cricket Tournament – T20 at Maharaja’s College Ground (Pavilion) in city recently.

A total of 16 teams played in Tournament and in the final match, Moon Star Cricket Club beat Kollegal Cricket Club.

Kollegal team chose to bat first and scored 140 runs for 8 wickets. In reply, Moon Star scored 145 runs for 3 wickets in 16.3 overs and took home the winner’s trophy.

M.G. Naveen was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ and T.Manjunath bagged ‘Man of the Series’ & ‘Man of the Bowler’ titles.

While winning team were awarded a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000, runners-up took away Rs.50,000.

Chief guests on the occasion were Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, Mysore University DPE Director (in-Charge) Krishnaiah, University Chief Coach Mansoor Ahmed Khan & others.

The winning team — Moon Star Cricket Club — included Md. Zameer, Syed Salman, Madhusudhan, M.G. Naveen, Abdul Majeed, Md. Muzammil (Captain), Abuzzar, K. Arun, Syed Ajmal, Syed Yunus, Imran Pasha, Sumanth, T. Manjunath and Waseem Razaq.
