City Inter-Collegiate Bhavageete and GK Quiz Contests

Mysuru: Sangeetha-Jnana Sudha, Inter-Collegiate Kannada Bhavageete and GK Quiz Competitions was organised by Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College at the College premises in Saraswathipuram here recently.

The competition was inaugurated by M.R. Harsha, Asst. Professor of MIT College, of ZEE Kannada Saregamapa Season-13 fame.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Bhavageete enhanced thoughts through poetic expressions and participation in quiz enabled the analytical thinking of students which helped in striking balance between both science and literature. He also advised the students to actively take part in the competitions irrespective of the results.

R Vasudev Bhat, Hon. Secretary of Vijaya Vittala Institutions, presided over the function. College Principal H. Satyaprasad, Vijaya Vittala Institutions Principal S.P. Asha were present during the inaugural.

The prizes to winning students were given away by Jnanodaya PU College Principal T.S. Srikantha Sharma during the valedictory function held in the evening.

1 st prize- H.C. Bharathi (Marimallappa PU College), 2nd – M. Bhoomika (Gopalaswamy PU College), 3rd – Mandara Adiga (Jnanodaya PU College) and Consolation – Sushma S. Aradhya (Gopalaswamy PU College); Rolling Shield: Gopalaswamy PU College.

Winners of Quiz Contest

1st – T.S. Srinidhi and B.K. Chirag (Vijaya Vittala PU College), 2nd – Ashish G. Bharadwaj and H.R. Nandan (Sadvidya Semi Residential PU College), 3rd – Ankith Mahadev and R. Nachiketh (Pushkarani PU College) and Consolation – Bhoomika and Srivardhan Bhat  (Gopalaswamy PU College); Rolling Shield: Sadvidya Semi Residential PU College.
