Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sabha, Mysuru, conducted its Annual State-level competition for the youth in Indian Classical Music from Aug.18 to 20 at the Sabha’s G.R. Dasappa Mini Hall.In all, 10 artistes were shortlisted amongst 27 applicants for the finals, which was judged by Vidwan T.P.Vaidyanathan, Vidwan N.R.Prashanth and Pandith Veerabhadrah Hiremath. Following participants won the prizes:
Srikanth Radhakrishnan – Karnatak Violin – First Prize and “Nadakishora” Title; Anjana P. Rao – Karnatak Vocal – Second Prize; Kavana Hegde – Hindustani Vocal – Third Prize; Srikanth Radhakrishnan – Best Violinist; Nikshit Puttur – Best Mridangist.The prizes will be distributed during the Anniversary of the Sabha in the first week of January 2018.
