Mysuru: Four fighters of Academy of Martial Science(AMS), who represented team Karnataka at the Mumbai Body Power Expo-2018 MMA Open Championships held at Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre between Jan.11 and Jan.14, won a silver and bronze medal respectively.

The event was attended by 250 fighters from 24 States and also international fighters competing for the top spot.

M.R. Darshan won a silver medal in fly weight division which was contested by more than 40 fighters. He made his way to the finals by defeating an international medallist from Telangana in the second round via submission while Kavyashree continued her winning streak and won a bronze medal in female straw weight division.

While H. Sathvik was Bantam weight quarter finalist, P. Yashas was Feather weight quarter finalist.

They are trained by international medallist Kru. Vikram  at AMS.
