Winston Suresh Wesley (66), son of late Prof. B.C. Wesley and late Prof. Lalithakumari Wesley and a resident of ‘Levenstein,’  No. 252, KHB Layout,  Kamanakere Hundi in Hale Kesare, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in city yesterday.

Popularly known as Churie, he leaves behind his wife Josephine Wesley, daughter Michelle Bhosle, son-in-law, four brothers and a host of relatives and friends.

A cricketer, Winston had led his college and Mysore University teams to many a victories and championships. He had served in various State Government Departments and also in World Health Organisation (WHO) where he had developed very innovative programmes on rural health in Karnataka.

Funeral was held at the CSI Cemetery on Mahadevapura Road in Gandhinagar this noon, according to family sources.
