Mysuru: A woman along with her child has gone missing from her husband’s house at Hootagalli here since yesterday morning.

Nikhita, 23, wife of Manjunath, a flour mill owner at Hootagalli is the one who has gone missing with her two-year-old child Dhruva Gowda. Nikhita, a resident of Bogadi, was married to Manjunath six years ago and the couple has two children.

Nikhita is said to have sent a video message to her mother Pankaja yesterday morning at about 9 am before leaving her husband’s home, while taking one kid along with her and leaving the other at home.

Nikhita in her message, is said to have alleged harassment by her husband Manjunath and his family members.

According to her mother Pankaja, Nikhita was constantly harassed and she had not option but to leave her husband’s home. The message also stated that the family members should not search for her.  Vijayanagar Police have registered a case based on Nikhita mother’s statement.
