Mysuru: A woman, said to be depressed in life, reportedly committed suicide by hanging self in Udayagiri Police limits in city.

The deceased has been identified as Shahida Banu (23), a resident of Shanthinagar in city.

It is learnt that Shahida was given in marriage to one Mohammed Salman, a car driver about two years ago and as days went by, Shahida was being allegedly harassed by her in-laws and depressed over this, Shahida is said to have taken the extreme step, according to the complaint.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
