Mysuru: A 37-year-old woman committed suicide by consuming pesticide at her residence in city yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Shilpa Thimmaiah of Hebbal I stage here. The incident came to light when her father Thimmaiah, an ex-serviceman, returned home after attending a marriage in Kodagu at 5 pm, yesterday.

Hebbal Police, who arrived at the spot and conducted mahazar, said that Shilpa’s body was found lying in the first floor of the house. Later, the body was shifted to MMC and RI mortuary for the post mortem.
