Woman dies after falling from scooter

Mysore/Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a 55-year-old woman died after falling off from a scooter on which she was riding pillion on Friday.

Mahadevamma (55), a resident of Kyatamaranahalli, is the deceased. Mahadevamma was returning to Mysuru after visiting a temple at Nanjangud travelling pillion on the scooter ridden by her son on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road, when she accidentally fell off from the scooter near the APMC, when the rider tried to avoid hitting a cow that suddenly ventured on to the road.

Mahadevamma, who sustained serious injuries, was being rushed to K.R. Hospital, when she breathed her last enroute, it is learnt. Her son Chirantan, escaped with minor injuries.

K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
