Gundlupet: Upset over her husband in debt, a woman has committed suicide by allegedly hanging self at Kotekere village in the taluk.

Madevi (26), wife of Ningaraju, of the village, is the deceased person. Her husband had taken a loan of Rs. 5 lakh to build a house. She was always worrying about the same. She took the extreme step by hanging self with her saree, when nobody was at home. The couple has a eight-year-old son.

According to Raja Nayaka, father of Madevi, his daughter was worried over her husband in debt. However, there was no harassment by anybody to repay the loan.

Begur Police have registered a case in this regard.
