Woman ends life over illness

January 17, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman named Shruthi (28), residing in Yelwal, took her own life on Monday due to depression stemming from both her husband’s and her own illnesses.

Shruthi, originally from Hassan, had been married to Chandu of Yelwal for eight years. Chandu, employed as a solar technician, was battling paralysis, while Shruthi also started experiencing health issues.

Overwhelmed by these challenges, she hanged herself at their residence on Monday. Yelwal Police conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary and filed a case in connection with the incident.
