Woman held for stealing gold chain from scooter dickey

Mysore/Mysuru: Nazarbad Police have arrested a woman on charges of stealing a gold chain which was kept in the scooter dickey and have recovered 44 gram gold chain worth Rs. 2 lakh from the accused.

One Vijay, a resident of Sanmarga in Siddarthanagar, had kept the gold chain in the scooter dickey and had parked the scooter in front of his house. When he came again and opened the dickey he found the gold chain missing and lodged a complaint with Nazarbad police.

The Police, who registered a case, began their investigation and nabbed the accused woman besides recovering the stolen gold chain from her.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Shanthamallappa guided Nazarbad Inspector M. Mahadevaswamy, Sub-Inspector Srinivas Patil and staff B.B. Prakash, S. Satishkumar, Kiran Rathod, Mallikarjuna, Sanju, Chaitra and Technical Wing’s P. Kumar in the nabbing and recovery operation.
