Woman injured as truck rams into scooter

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman sustained injuries, while her husband and daughter escaped miraculously, when a truck rammed into the scooter at Bogadi Signal Lights yesterday evening.

The injured woman has been identified as Rashmi, a resident of Doddegowdanakoppal in the taluk. She has been admitted to a private hospital at  Hootagalli here.

Rashmi, along with her husband Pradeep and six-year-old daughter were proceeding on their Honda Activa scooter (KA-55-A-5750), when a truck (KA-09-C-3804) rammed into the scooter from behind at about 4.45 pm yesterday at Bogadi Signal Lights Circle, resulting in Rashmi sustaining injuries.

Krishnaraja (KR) Traffic Inspector Vinay and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, seized the truck and have taken truck driver Raveesh into custody, besides registering a case..
