Woman jumps to death at KRS

Krishna Raja Sagar: An elderly woman jumped into the boating area at the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Dam and committed suicide. The woman has been identified as 80-year-old Kempamma, a resident of Bekkalele near Maddur.

According to the Police, Kempamma visited KRS two days back and jumped into the water near the boating area. The incident came to light when her body was found floating yesterday. Immediately the body was fished out and her identity was established through her mobile phone that she had kept in a small pouch.

Police said that Kempamma was living at the house of her son Chandrashekar in Bengaluru and was fed up with some domestic issues. KRS Police conducted a post-mortem and the body has been handed over to her relatives.
