Woman killed as bus rams into scooter

Mysore/Mysuru: T.S. Bharathi (46), a resident of Raghavendranagar in city, was killed after a KSRTC bus rammed into the scooter she was riding on Government Guest House Road in Nazarbad on Jan. 17 afternoon.

She was proceeding on her Scooty (KA-55-V-7020) from Government Guest House side towards Canara Bank when the KSRTC bus (KA-10-F-0277) rammed into her Scooty from behind and dragged the lady and the Scooty to a distance.

Though Bharathi was rushed to a hospital by the bus driver and the public, she is said to have breathed her last midway.

Siddarthanagar Police, who have registered a case against the bus driver, are investigating.
