Woman killed, husband hurt as KSRTC bus hits bike

Mysuru: A woman was killed on the spot, while her husband suffered minor injuries when the motorbike they were traveling on was brushed past by a KSRTC bus near Dalvoy Lake on Mysuru – Nanjangud road last evening.

Megha (26), wife of Mahendra, Channavadeyanapura, Gundlupet taluk, Chamarajanagar district is the deceased woman. The couple had come to Mysuru for the house warming ceremony of a relative.

They were riding back to the village, when a KSRTC bus coming behind brushed past their vehicle, touching the vehicle handle, near Dalvoy Lake. Both fell off the vehicle, but Megha came under the wheels of the bus and was run over leading to her death.

Mysore South Police have registered a case.
