Woman missing after taking money for hubby’s treatment

Mysore/Mysuru: A 28-year-old homemaker has gone missing from Brindavan Layout under the jurisdiction of V.V. Puram Police Station after reportedly borrowing Rs. 20,000 from her mother-in-law for her husband’s medical treatment.

The missing woman has been identified as H.R. Nandini, wife of Ajay Kumar and daughter of Ravi. A native of Virajpet in Kodagu district, Nandini married Ajay Kumar in 2016.

According to the complaint, Nandini had admitted her husband, who is suffering from a stroke, to the Government Ayurvedic Hospital in Brindavan Layout on Apr. 16. She later borrowed Rs. 20,000 from her mother-in-law, Lakshmamma, towards treatment expenses.

Later the same day, Nandini left the hospital on a TVS Jupiter scooter bearing registration number KA-55-ED-6334, saying she would return shortly. However, she did not return and has remained untraceable since.
