Mysore/Mysuru:  A woman was killed when a tanker hit the scooter she was riding near GRS Fantasy Park on Metagalli Ring Road on Tuesday morning.

The deceased woman has been identified as A. Lakshmidevi, a resident of Mogarahallimanti village in Srirangapatna taluk. She was working in a garment factory at Bannimantap in city.

On May 12 morning, Lakshmidevi, who came riding her scooter on the Ring Road, was taking a turn to enter the Service Road when the tanker, coming from the same side hit the scooter. Lakshmidevi, who sustained serious injuries, breathed her last after failing to respond to the treatment.  

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
