Woman robbed of purse while boarding bus

Mysuru: In a reported incident, a woman was robbed of her purse while boarding a bus at Sub-Urban Bus Stand in city recently.

Chikkathayamma, 63, a woman farmer of Mangadahalli in Channapatna taluk is the victim.

Chikkathayamma, who had come to the city to attend a wedding engagement on Sept. 21, returned to KSRTC Sub-Urban Bus Stand and was waiting at Platform No. 2 to board a bus to her village. When the bus came to the platform, the passengers rushed towards it.

Though she managed to get a seat despite the rush, Chikkathayamma was in for a shock, when she checked her bag only to find her purse that contained a 33-gm gold chain stolen. However, she belatedly lodged a complaint at Lashkar Police Station on Sept. 30.
