Women found begging along with children rescued

Mysore/Mysuru: The Officials from the Department of Women and Child Development, along with Child Helpline and Children Protection Unit have rescued two women, who were seeking alms along with infants and children in city on Wednesday and have sent them for counselling.

While one woman, who was found begging along with an infant near K.R. Circle was rescued despite stiff opposition, three women, were found begging along with children near a hotel. While two fled from the spot, one of them were rescued.

The women, who were counselled, were told not to sacrifice the future of the children besides asking them to work instead of begging. They were also urged to provide education to the children which would be taken care by the Government.
