Mysore/Mysuru: Superintendent of Police (SP) Seema Latkar has given a call for women not to lose their innate ability of overcoming any situation and surge ahead, with a firm mindedness.
The SP was addressing the gathering after inaugurating Suyog Women’s Health Club and a year-long women’s health check-up programme, organised as part of International Women’s Day celebrations at Suyog Hospital in Ramakrishnanagar in city on Wednesday.
“The women are blessed with firm mind since birth, but due to the influence of environment around them, they suffer from inferiority. They should overcome such environment and move towards the development of body and mind and make judicious use of such opportunities,” she said.
The SP also launched the special health package brought out for women at Suyog Hospital.
In the lecture sessions that followed, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Geetha spoke on ‘Menstruation Problems’ and Dr. Swapna on ‘Breast and Uterus Cancer in Women.’
Dr. Geetha, Nurse Reshma, health worker Rukmini, Administrative Assistant Mahalakshmi, Principal of Suyog Nursing College Nagamani, social workers Prema Srikantaswamy and Usha and Director of Suyog Hospital Sudha Yoganna were felicitated on the occasion.
CEO of Suyog Hospital Dr. Manjunath shared information related to women’s special health package.
Dean and Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) Dr. K.R. Dakshayini presided.
