Mysore/Mysuru: Accusing the City’s Women’s Credit Co-operative Society located in Kuvempunagar K Block of misuse of  large sums of money,a member of the Society has lodged a complaint with the Ashokapuram Police  alleging that the Society has cheated her of  pledged Gold Jewellery.

The member Shanti D.Avaradi, a resident of Kuvempunagar, in her complaint said that she had availed Rs.10 lakh loan from the Society after pledging 780 gms. of Gold in 2012. After clearing the loan in full along with interest, she applied to the Society for getting back her pledged gold in July 2019. Although she brought this fact to the notice of the Society’s President and the Executive Board members, no action has been taken for returning her pledged gold, the complaint said.

Based on Shanti Avaradi’s  complaint, the jurisdictional Ashokapuram Police have registered a case against the Society President, Secretary and the Directors under Sections 406,409,420,504,506 and 34 of IPC.
