The Department of Prisons and Correctional Services and Central Prison, Mysuru, have jointly organised Women’s Day celebrations at Central Prison, Mysuru, on Mar. 13 at 11.30 am. Former Mayor Pushpalatha T.B. Chikkanna, AICC National Co-ordinator Bhavya Narasimhamurthy, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, University of Mysore Registrar M.K. Savitha and Sri Chamundeshwari Temple Development Authority Secretary M.J. Roopa will be the chief guests.

Senior social worker Shantha Ramakrishna, Personal Counsellor at H.D. Kote Women Care Centre Jasheela, Raniprabha of city’s Om Sri Sai Trust, international sportsperson and Head Warder at Central Prison, Mysuru, Uma and ambulance driver Asha will be felicitated.  State Women’s Commission Chairperson Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary will preside. Chief Superintendent of Central Prison, Mysuru, P.S. Ramesh and others will be present, according to a press release.
