Workshop on Aadhaar for district officials held in city

June 8, 2017

Mysuru: The linking of Aadhaar to various welfare schemes announced by both the State and Central Governments will help in monitoring if the benefits had reached the actual beneficiaries, said DC D. Randeep.

He was speaking after inaugurating the one-day workshop Aadhaar registration and Aadhaar seedings for the district-level officers jointly organised by Centre for e-Governance, Bengaluru and District Administration at the DC’s office this morning.

The workshop aims at helping the officials to understand the concept of linking Aadhaar to various schemes for people to avail subsidies and other benefits and also to clear the doubts regarding related issues, he added.

DC Randeep also said that people were opening fresh accounts and link their Aadhaar numbers which was causing a lot of confusion.

Speaking on the occasion, State Aadhaar Project Officer C. Ravikumar said that a total of 6.46 crore people had got their Aadhaar and added that Mysuru had achieved 93.04 percent progress.

He also said that the workshop aimed at motivating the officials to achieve 100 percent progress and also to clear their doubts regarding Aadhaar.
