Mysore/Mysuru: A five-day training-cum-workshop on ‘Testing and Evaluation and Item-writing’ for Hindi teachers and research scholars of South India, was held at National Testing Service-India (NTS-I) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru from Mar. 2.
Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Fer-nandez, Professor and Deputy Director, CIIL, inaugurated the workshop. In his inaugural address, he said that skill oriented and practical teaching is the most important factor for improving student’s learning.
Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Officer In-charge of NTS-I, briefed about the objectives of the workshop. ‘Teachers at the workshop were provided training on emerging technologies and tools in the recent times, which can be used at their respective classrooms. They got an opportunity to see the testing and evaluation mechanism from more than one perspective,’ Dwivedi said.
Assistant Professors, Lecturers, School Teachers and Research Scholars from various Universities, Colleges, Schools and Institutions from South India participated in the workshop.
Dr. Sanjay Prasad Srivastava and Dr. Narayana Reddy, JRP, NTS-I, compered and proposed vote of thanks, respectively. All the academic, technical and administrative staff of NTS-I were present. Prof. D.G. Rao, Director, CIIL, was the overall patron of the workshop, according to a press release.
