Workshop on Karnatak music held

Mysuru: Champaka Academy conducted a two-day Karnatak music workshop in city on Dec.9 and 10. More than 20 music students and connoisseurs attended the workshop and gave raving feedback.

Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar taught four compositions of the famous Mysuru composer Sri Yoga Narasimham and Vid. S. Shankar expounded on the nuances of Raga Kamach through four compositions.

Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy and Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao inaugurated the workshop in the presence of art patron K.V. Murthy.

The valedictory was presided over by Dr. R.N. Srilatha and Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy.

On the concluding day, the participants presented the kritis they learnt during the workshop.
