The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will be organising a workshop at Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel in city on Jan.18 and 19 from 9.30 am to 5 pm.

Social Welfare Department Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Kumar, who presided over a preparatory meeting in this regard at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Thursday, said that the Department Ministers and top officials from the States of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Puducherry and Lakshadweep will be taking part in the two-day workshop. He directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for the workshop.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra said that the officials have been  tasked with arrangements concerning Protocol, Security, Vehicle deployment, Dais, Boarding and Lodging, Transport, Digital publicity, Cultural programmes etc. He asked officials to carry out their assigned tasks and responsibilities in a planned and  organised manner so as to ensure total success of workshop.

Social Welfare Department Additional Directors Satyashri and Ganeshappa, Joint Director Malathi, MMC&RI Chief Adminsitrative Officer K.R. Rakshith, SC/ST Welfare Department Officer Muniraju and other officials were present at the meeting.
