Workshop on style of paintings from tomorrow

Mysuru: A workshop on ‘Mysuru, Surapura and Ganjifa style of painting’ will be held at Sree Kalanikethana School of Art in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru, from July 6 to 9.

The workshop will be inaugurated at 11 am on July 6 by former MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar. DDPU Dr. Dayanand, Industrialist M.C. Jagadish and senior artist S.M. Jambukeshwar will be the chief guests. Karnataka Lalithakala Academy Chairperson Prof. M.J. Kamalakshi will preside over the inaugural.

Valedictory of the workshop will be held at 3 pm on July 9. Sree Kalanikethana School of Art Principal K.C. Mahadeva Shetty will deliver the valedictory address. Podar International School Principal Krishna Bangera will be the chief guest. Collegiate Education Department Joint Director H. Udayashankar will preside.
